Grace UCC Values
1. We value Christian tradition in worship practicing two sacraments, baptism and communion. Our worship experiences include liturgy and hymns as well as inviting congregants to participate in sensory rich non-traditional elements, contemporary tunes and relevant texts.
2. We value being respectful and encouraging dialogue where both sides share and listen to the other, we welcome all people to participate in our worship and congregational life.
3. We believe in working together to care for those in need, whether members of our own congregation, the local community or the world providing food, emergency assistance and by helping victims of catastrophe.
4. We believe God’s word can be found in the historic books of the Bible, the God-breathed word that guides us in our daily lives and in our relationships with one another. We encourage all believers to study scripture individually and corporately, to develop their understanding of God’s Word.
5. We believe all people have God given gifts and talents that are intended to be used throughout our lifetime to serve others and glorify God.
6. We value evangelism and practice it by sharing the love of God through our daily actions.
7. We value stewardship of all that God has given us. God has provided for us in creating the earth, providing all creatures, human and non-humans for our companionship, and we have been charged with their care.
8. We value the involvement of all generations from children to seniors, believing that all of us have valuable contributions to make to the life of the church and are important in God’s eyes.
